Hoops For Austin

Hoops for Austin is a spirited, outdoor 3-on-3 basketball tournament held in loving memory of Austin Robert Turley, a cherished Sumner Middle School student whose passion for the game—and for our community—touched everyone who knew him. All proceeds go toward the Austin Robert Turley Memorial Scholarship, supporting future generations of local students. The Sumner Valley Foundation was proud to become a sponsor of this event and will continue sponsoring in the future.

Lace up for Learning

The Sumner Valley Foundation is proud to support local elementary school students by helping provide shoes for those in need. Through this initiative, each participating school will receive funds designated specifically for purchasing shoes. This allows school staff to select footwear based on each student’s size, style, color preferences, and individual needs. By addressing this essential need, we hope to help students feel comfortable, confident, and ready to learn. This project reflects SVF’s commitment to supporting local families and creating positive opportunities for children in our community.

Holiday Support

To support our local families during the holiday season, the SVF collaborated directly with school counselors at the Sumner Early Learning Center, Daffodil Valley Elementary, Maple Lawn Elementary, and Sumner Middle School. By working with those who know our students best, we provided gift cards for essential groceries and household goods to families who could use a helping hand. This targeted outreach ensures that our community's most immediate needs are met with dignity and care during the winter months.

Early Learning Center Diaper Donations

The Sumner Valley Foundation proudly donated a year’s supply of essential diaper and hygiene products to the Early Learning Center in Sumner, supporting families served by the Step by Step Foundation. This contribution helped ensure young children have consistent access to basic necessities, allowing families to focus on stability, learning and healthy development.
