2026 Sumner High School Benefit Night
The Sumner Valley Foundation was honored to support a 2019 Sumner High School graduate during the annual Benefit Night Auction. Following a recent cancer diagnosis and subsequent surgery, this year’s beneficiary faced significant upcoming medical expenses, including chemotherapy and specialized procedures not covered by insurance.
To support her journey and help cover medical costs, the Sumner Valley Foundation collaborated closely with friends, family, and our local network. Together, we curated and provided nine separate auction baskets for the event. Thanks to the incredible generosity of the community, these baskets raised $14,405, providing vital financial relief as she focuses on her health and recovery.
Grant Amount: $485 (the majority of the items were donated through SVF, or facilitated by SVF, in support of this cause - Special shoutout to Megan Jobe & Brianne Barnett for leading the basket creation)

The House Project
The SVF provided funding for a significant renovation for a local educator, mounting kitchen cabinets and installing new floors throughout the entire home. By leveraging local flooring connections and providing some of the labor ourselves with friends and family, we were able to make major improvements to their home.
Grant Amount: $5,000
2025 Winter Wishes
This year, the SVF partnered with Sumner High School to support Winter Wishes, a program where students and staff nominate one another for meaningful gifts and essential resources. Working closely with school leadership to maximize impact, we funded 12 separate wishes, including holiday gift cards for families, a laptop for a college-bound student, a nursing scholarship, and flight hours for an aspiring pilot. We are honored to help turn these requests into reality and invest directly in the bright futures of our student community.
Grant Amount: $6,000
2025 Holiday Support
To support our local families during the holiday season, the SVF collaborated directly with school counselors at the Sumner Early Learning Center, Daffodil Valley Elementary, Maple Lawn Elementary, and Sumner Middle School. By working with those who know our students best, we provided gift cards for essential groceries and household goods to families who could use a helping hand. This targeted outreach ensures that our community's most immediate needs are met with dignity and care during the winter months.
Grant Amount: $6,000
Early Learning Center Diaper Donations
The Sumner Valley Foundation proudly donated a year’s supply of essential diaper and hygiene products to the Early Learning Center in Sumner, supporting families served by the Step by Step Foundation. This contribution helped ensure young children have consistent access to basic necessities, allowing families to focus on stability, learning and healthy development.
Grant Amount: $600
Sumner Badges & Barbells Equipment
The SVF is proud to support the Badges & Barbells program through the Police Activities League of Sumner, an initiative dedicated to building positive relationships between law enforcement and secondary students through fitness and mentorship. Our grant provided essential gym equipment, including power racks, weights, and boxing gear, to ensure a safe, high-quality environment for club sessions. By investing in this program, we are helping foster community trust and providing a constructive outlet for students to grow both physically and personally.
Grant Amount: $1,500
